Oscars 2022

The 94th annual Academy Awards were definitely not boring this year, the slapping incident overshadowed the honors, but let’s catch up to all the most remarkable winners of that night.

BEST PICTURE

Apple’s CODA with a predominantly deaf cast makes history after obtaining 3 awards including the BEST PICTURE award, praise to the team!

BEST ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE

We were moved when Jessica Chastain gave a heartfelt acceptance speech about the current issues and her portrayal in the Eyes of Tammy Faye.

BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE

In addition to being the main talking point of the night, Will Smith won the best actor for his role in King Richard. We respect his motivational speech and apology to Chris Rock, as the actor said - love will make you do crazy things.

BEST ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE

Troy Kotsur is the first deaf man to win the trophy for his supporting role in CODA. We loved to see Minari star Youn Yuh-Jung present the award and sign her congratulations to the actor.

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY

Greg Fraser scooped the best cinematography award for Dune which was well deserved, congratulations!

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE

The Colombian-set Disney movie Encanto was announced the winner of the best-animated feature, making all the Disney fans proud.

BEST INTERNATIONAL FEATURE

After being the sensation at Cannes 2021, we are delighted that Drive My Car (Japan) earned the best international feature at Oscars 2022.
