Austrian casting agencies

Hello and welcome back to the hood! Taking a train from Slovakia, here we are to tell you more about casting agencies all around the world. Today we’re focusing on... you’ve guessed it Austria! I kinda gave it away at the top haven’t I? Austria is known for its big Alps and mountains that are great for skiing but also for being a part of great filming locations for various different films like “The Sound of Music” but more recently one of the famous James Bond movies “SPECTRE”.

And what do you need for great movies like this? A heart cast. So here are our top picks for Austrian casting agencies:

Hitting it off with Agentur Nielsen. The casting agency to hit up if you want to be in commercials and extras in Vienna. It’s also a great way to get to know the city so once you’re there you can go and visit the Schönbrunn Palace or St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The next agency, conveniently named Extras is an extras casting agency if being an extra is something you’d want to do! They are professional and have been in the business for a long time so you know they know what they’re doing! The last casting agency we’re hitting you with is the Filmfaces Agency. This agency has a modern take on casting and has many new ideas that are hard to come by in the film industry.

Nicole Schmied

Next up we don’t have a casting agency but we have a casting director who works hard and loves her job, it’s Nicole Schmied. The local casting director has been a part of so much for example the TV show “Vienna Blood” which has been on for two years now.

Unfortunately, that’s all for now in Austria. Once there’s more we’ll let you know! Now get over there and get your fabulous faces on those screens. We’re looking forward to seeing you up there! Hopefully, we were helpful on your journey and we wish you luck with your Austrian casting experience!

Until next time,

Your Hood

PS: Let us know what you think and if we helped you on your acting journey!
